Racists, Racists, Everywhere!

Speaking on MSNBC on Tuesday, civil rights activist Julian Bond tried to defend the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups by saying:

“I mean, here are a group of people who are admittedly racist, who are overtly political, who tried as best they can to harm President Obama in every way they can.”

“[The Tea Party] is the Taliban wing of American politics and we all ought to be a little worried about them.”

This kind of slanderous lying deserves to be answered, so I tracked down Julian Bond’s email address at American University and sent him the following letter:

Racists, Racists, Everywhere!

Dear Julian Bond,

You routinely throw charges of racism at people you don’t even know. This is a strategy you use to discredit, in the minds of others, people with whom you disagree politically. Since you have no evidence that most Tea Party members are racists, it means that you are in essence publicly bearing false witness against thousands of people. You are therefore, guilty of breaking one of God’s Ten Commandments. Surely that cannot be a good thing.

It would be like Walter Williams saying that Democrats should all be investigated because as everyone knows they are all lying, cheating adulterers.

But unlike you, Walter Williams is an honest, classy guy and would never bear false witness against people with whom he disagrees politically. He argues ideas and uses facts.

I am a white, conservative male who has black heroes. You cannot explain this. But I can assure you, you are not one of them.

Another subject: Yesterday Chris Matthews was critical of President Obama on his TV show. In your twisted world this absolutely makes Matthews a white racist. Will you try to get Chris fired or ask the I.R.S. to audit him?

Sincerely,

Frotho Canutus

The See Through President

Here is what President Barack Obama has posted about Transparency and Open Government on the White House web site:

“Memorandum for the Heads of Executive Departments and Agencies

SUBJECT:      Transparency and Open Government

“My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government.  We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government.”

It must be evident to anyone who is honest with themself that President Barack Obama has zero credibility when it comes to government transparency.

The Obama administration still has not revealed why the decision was made not adequately protect ambassador Chris Stevens and the American consulate in Benghazi even though additional security had been requested. Eight months later and still waiting…

We still don’t know who in the State Department altered the Benghazi talking points given to Susan Rice, which were clearly altered to misinform the American people about why the murder of four Americans was allowed to take place. Instead we are still getting dismissals of questions about Benghazi like the one by President Obama’s Press Secretary Jay Carney who said recently that the murder of Americans at Benghazi “happened a long time ago.”

Despite repeated requests the White House is still refusing to release emails that may show how the administration wanted to change the Benghazi attack “talking points.” Meanwhile, Secretary of State John Kerry is making the rounds proclaiming that this administration will “leave no stone unturned” in the Benghazi affair. Proof that John Kerry is a political hack with no self-respect.

Then there is the Fast and Furious gun walking case that resulted in the murder of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. When Congress requested information from the Obama Administration about the program, President Obama invoked Executive Privilege and U. S. Attorney General Eric Holder became the first sitting member of the Cabinet of the United States to be held in Contempt of Congress for refusing to cooperate. Is this what President Obama means by transparency and open government?

(Update, May 16th) Yesterday the White House released a limited batch of 94 pages of emails related to the Benghazi affair. It is a small gesture at best because these emails were sent several days after the murders at Benghazi. The administration is only selectively releasing information in order to appear as though they are cooperating. The cover up continues…

Police Chief targeted Obama supporters

This bumper sticker was spotted on the stretch limousine belonging to disgraced hedge fund manager and former New Jersey governor Jon Corzine.

(May 13, 2013) Bandelier City, New Mexico:

Information has been obtained that the chief of police of Bandelier City issued an inappropriate directive to his officers during the last election cycle. The order stated that all police officers who spot motorists with Obama bumper stickers should immediately run their license plate numbers through the system to check for any outstanding traffic violations. When asked about this questionable practice, Chief Edgar Lee was quoted as saying that “it was not done because of any political bias.”

Developing…

(Update) Nancy Pelosi and an unnamed official at the American Civil Liberties Union were heard saying separately today that the real issue is not that the police were abusing their power and using it to intimidate liberals for Obama, but that the real issue is that the Supreme court has ruled that bumper stickers are a form of free speech and that even the 1%-ers like ex-hedge fund manager Jon Corzine are people too and entitled to the protection of free speech. If we didn’t know any better we would say that Ms. Pelosi and the ACLU are coordinating their talking points in response to this egregious incident.

Benghazi Cover Up II

Sean Smith, one of four Americans killed by terrorists at Benghazi

Sean Smith, one of four Americans killed by terrorists at Benghazi

It’s been a while since I have written about the Benghazi attack and the Obama administration’s apparent attempt to cover up the truth of that preventable tragedy.

When White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was recently asked at a press conference about new developments in the Benghazi terrorist attack, Carney implied that the subject was not worthy of discussion because “Benghazi happened a long time ago.”

Now let’s remember that four Americans were murdered during that September 2012 attack. Would Carney use the same lame dismissal that Newtown “happened a long time ago” if a journalist raised a question about the Newtown School Massacre? It’s likely Carney would lose his job if he acted as smug and callous in dismissing a question regarding the mass murder of school children. But Benghazi is different.

The reason why Obama administration officials have been acting out so strangely every time Benghazi is brought up is because they fear the truth getting out about their failure to protect our consulate in Libya and their subsequent effort to cover up their failure in an attempt to regain the White House.

The narrative that Obama had killed Bin Laden and crushed the terror networks was essential to winning back the White House. The truth about Benghazi threatened that. Once again, it was politics and personal ambition above all else. When political careers take precedence over the safety and security of Americans, Americans are sure to suffer or even die.

Let’s hope the testimony later this week from officials within the State Department will help us get closer to truth about Benghazi.  If they confirm what many of us believe, the people involved in this cover up need to be held responsible. Hillary in 2016? Maybe not….

Al Gore – Still Getting It Wrong

Al Gore and the other Climate Alarmists have been telling us for years that the release of greenhouse gases will bring more frequent and powerful storms. So, while yes, the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere has been on the increase, what does the data actually show? Why… it shows that 2012-2013 tornado frequency is lower than it has been for decades, and as Anthony Watts points out on his website, it’s been over 7 1/2 years since a category 3 hurricane has made landfall on the United States. When will the folks in academia and media stop treating AlGore and others like him as sagacious climate heroes?

According to the May 1st post by Harold Brooks at NOAA: “The 12-month period from May 2012 to April 2013 was remarkable for the absence of tornado activity and tornado impacts in the United States.”

What’s really remarkable is that people still take Al Gore seriously. There is so much that we still don’t understand about the Earth’s climate system. Oh, and did I mention the globe has not gotten any warmer for about 15 years running. Forget about a tax on carbon – we cannot let the Green Lobby run our lives and ruin our economy.
